Phew just finished ‘Who am I really’, definitely one for the Eng Lit majors. Last two were the intersecting 6 and 19, which took a week of staring at even with online help. 6 hasn’t dated well (the place hasn’t existed for 8 years), and even when I finally worked out the definition for 19, the answer didn’t ring any bells or look likely as a real name.
Phi’s puzzle was a doddle by comparison, but none the worse. Slight ambiguity as to the extra word(s) in 23. Nice one.
Wot no blog for August?
Stuck on W and C (which I reckon intersect) in the Alphagammatical Jigsaw. W has two lots of wordplay, yes? Sort of understand the second lot. That leaves C starting CY and I’m stumped.
Grackle’s puzzle’s preamble refers to 26ac. I want whatever Grackle was on – there isn’t one, of course; *30ac* was what he meant!
Thanks. Is 16ac (9) (one word)?
Yes it is.

I’ve been struggling with Araucaria’s myself!!

Having a tricky time of it at the moment, Gonzo – apologies for lack of blog. Which puzzle are you talking about?
2039 Araucaria. I can wait for the solutions, but sometimes they can be gnomic.
I haven’t done (or seen!) the Araucaria – I will have a look.
Got them thanks to a cross-reference and some serious internet wrangling. I’ll be interested to read your thoughts on those clues.
