Re your comment in the June issue about the difficulty of the Araucaria puzzles, I had to wait for the solution of the vowelless alphabetical for AIBAQ. No sign of it online, though “Samangan (previous: Eukratidia; then Aybak or Aibak)” is in Wikipedia. Transliterations change, I guess.
A good issue all round.
Possible typo in June’s Grackle – will post in Juneks blog.
Loved the May edition. S plsd t fnsh th vwllss! Wht fn!
I do agree about Araucaria’s puzzles. I find a lot of them really hard but he was my first inspiration so I keep persevering.
PedrockI is always a delight.
I have to admit I didn’t finish Chalicea. Still keeping it for another effort!
I enjoyed Soup’s puzzle. Thanks to the editor for a corker!
For Soup’s puzzle, 26a should be (9) not (8). Make up your own mind as to whether the editor or setter is more at fault.
